This is a part-time position which could lead to a full-time position.

 

Rate of pay per hour:

LPN- $32.25

RN-   $38.50

 

General Summary:

 

Assist in meeting the physical and healthcare needs of the student with special physical/medical needs during the school day.  Promote and maintain the health and well-being of student in the classroom setting in order to enable them to take full advantage of available educational opportunities. Travel to and from the student’s home and educational placement, including accompanying the student on specialized transportation as required. This role also has the potential for occasional in-district work.

Essential Duties:

 

To the extent of his/her generic and continuing education and experience, the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse shall assume responsibility for the following health services, under the direction of the school nurse and Director of Health Services. Will require travel to support students placed in out-of-district programs.
